On March 15th, the roundtable event entitled "What Next After the Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering? – Options and Perspectives" took place in the Main Auditorium of the NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA. It was organized by the Scientific Committee of the Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (LEMc): Professors Daniel Vaz, Tiago Silva, and Catarina Vidal.
The purpose of this event was to introduce LEMc students to the corresponding Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEMc) and to allow them to discuss their experiences and perspectives with two alumni on the advantages of pursuing this cycle of studies after their Bachelor's degree, at a time when the job market increasingly seeks professionals with a solid and comprehensive education and potential for career development.
Moderated by the LEMc coordinator, Professor Dr. Daniel Vaz, the roundtable featured the participation of Professor Dr. Rui Martins, coordinator of the MEMc; Professor António Mourão, coordinator of the Integrated Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MIEMc) between 2014 and 2021; Francisco Bolinhas, 2nd year student of the LEMc Pedagogical Committee; Engineer Tiago Albarran, graduated from LEMc in 2007, Director of Engineering and Maintenance (Hovione); and Master André Gameiro, graduated from MIEMc in 2020, Process Engineer in Hydrogen Projects (PRF - Gas Solutions).
