Prof. Helena Carvalho participated in the QD Challenge 2025 as a member of the jury, contributing her academic expertise and critical insight to evaluate the proposals presented by students from across the country. The event, taking place today at the Alfrapark Auditorium, once again brings together talent from the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, Technology, Data Science, Management and Strategy, promoting innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Maintaining its intensive one-day format, this edition challenged participants to solve a complex case study. Throughout five phases, students developed solutions for Wenden, a small town in Arizona facing environmental and social difficulties such as water scarcity, dependence on intensive agriculture and the need for economic revitalization.
With creative ideas and bold approaches, the evaluation proved demanding for the panel of judges, where Prof. Helena Carvalho’s contribution stood out. The organization will soon announce the winning projects of this 2nd edition, which reaffirms the QD Challenge as a unique opportunity to test skills, create impact and grow in a real-world learning environment.
