Beatriz Jesus, Rafael Ferreira, Rita Ferreira, and Tiago Laurencio were selected for a six-month internship at the Norwegian companies DNV Shipping Advisory and Klaveness Digital, as part of the M4ML Project. Project M4ML aims to promote the mobility of students, faculty, and researchers in the field of Maritime Logistics between Portugal and Norway, as well as contribute to the development of this field through the development of innovative educational materials and encourage mutual learning between academia and industry in the field of the Blue Economy, or Economy of the Sea.

On February 14, these students participated in a briefing session where they had the opportunity to speak with the professors responsible for the project, Professor Radu Godina from the New University of Lisbon, and Professor Stein Ove Erikstad from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and to clarify any questions they had about the companies and the country that will host them.

M4ML is a project promoted by EEA Grants* and the DGPM – Directorate General for Maritime Policy, in partnership with FCT NOVA, NTNU, and Qualiseg.

* About EEA Grants

To promote a continuous and balanced strengthening of economic and trade relations, the parties to the EEA Agreement have established a multiannual Financial Mechanism, known as EEA Grants. The EEA Grants aim to reduce social and economic disparities in Europe and strengthen bilateral relations between these three countries and the beneficiary countries.
