Dr. Radu Godina, Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, began this month as the new coordinator of the M4ML (Mobility for Maritime Logistics) Project at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA).
This project, which aims to promote the mobility of students, faculty, and researchers in the context of Maritime Logistics between Portugal and Norway, as well as contribute to the development of this field through the development of innovative educational materials and encourage mutual learning between academia and industry in the field of the Blue Economy, or Economy of the Sea, is promoted by EEA Grants and the DGPM – Directorate General for Maritime Policy.
Also part of the project consortium, in addition to FCT NOVA, are the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the Naval School, and Qualiseg, a Portuguese consulting firm in Industrial Engineering and Management. As part of M4ML, and thanks to the efforts of all these entities, two six-month internship grants for young graduates will soon be announced.
