On November 14th, the Auditorium of Building IV hosted a special moment: the doctoral defense of Mohammud Hanif Dewan, a DEMI student. During the afternoon, the candidate presented his thesis, titled "Exploring the Engagement, Knowledge, and Effective Training of Seafarers in Energy-Efficient Ship Operations”.
Hanif Dewan's research addressed innovative training/teaching strategies for applying energy efficiency measures in maritime operations, highlighting the crucial role of engaging, knowledgeable, and empowering industry professionals with a focus on sustainable practices and global environmental challenges.
