On October 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., the Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon | NOVA FCT will host a seminar led by Dr. Afreen Siddiqi, a researcher at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The event, funded by FLAD, will take place in the auditorium of the NOVA FCT Library and will be a unique opportunity for participants to converse and share knowledge with one of the most active researchers in the field of complex systems analysis.
The seminar, titled "Engineering Decision Analytics for Complex Systems Under Uncertainties", will address two main methodologies for selecting and planning systems architectures in contexts of technological and market uncertainty.
Overall, the seminar will offer a comprehensive overview of how systems analysis can be applied to critical design and planning decisions in contexts of technological, market, and political uncertainty.
Dr. Siddiqi holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a PhD in Aerospace Systems, all from MIT. She has been honored with the Amelia Earhart Fellowship, the Richard D. DuPont Fellowship, and the Rene H. Miller Award in Systems Engineering.
Don't miss this opportunity to participate in a seminar that promises to broaden horizons in the field of complex systems engineering. Mark your calendars and join us for this inspiring event!
