Professor Ana Teresa Gabriel, a DEMI professor, along with Catarina Santos, a doctoral student, participated in a scientific activity at Emídio Navarro Secondary School in Almada. The initiative, titled "Physiological Reflex of Stimulus," was part of a project developed by a group of 12th-grade Biology students.
The researchers' participation included the use of advanced data collection technology, such as motion sensors and an eye tracker, which allowed them to analyze students' physiological responses to specific stimuli. This support was essential to the project's development, providing students with relevant scientific foundations and practical experience.
The collaboration between DEMI and Emídio Navarro Secondary School highlights their commitment to bringing higher education closer to schools, promoting scientific knowledge, and encouraging young people's active participation in advanced research practices.
