On July 11th, Professor Susana Duarte, a DEMI faculty member, participated in the NOVA Summer School Lisbon 2024 with the activity "Simulation of an Automatic and Manual Assembly Line." This hands-on experience provided direct contact with the challenges and concepts of Industrial Engineering and Management.
The event was attended by students from various nationalities, including Germany, Angola, Colombia, South Korea, and Portugal, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences across diverse cultures. The activity allowed participants to explore the dynamics of automatic and manual assembly lines, highlighting the importance of automation and efficient management in industrial processes.
