Gantner Instruments Seminar Organized by NEM

On June 19th, at 3:00 p.m., the Mechanical Engineering Student Association (NEM) hosted a seminar hosted by Gantner Instruments in the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT) Library Auditorium. The event was attended by students and professionals interested in technology and innovation in data acquisition.

Gantner Instruments, an Austrian company specializing in modular data acquisition solutions, presented several practical and innovative applications during the seminar. The topics covered were:

 

  • eMobility: Solutions for monitoring and optimizing electric vehicles, including batteries and propulsion systems.
  • Railway Monitoring: Technologies for monitoring railway infrastructure, ensuring safety and efficiency in the transportation of passengers and cargo.
  • Structural Health Monitoring: Advanced methods for continuous assessment of structural integrity, preventing failures and increasing durability.
  • Aircraft Engine Testing: Systems for rigorous testing of aircraft engines, ensuring performance and safety in extreme conditions.
  • Wind Turbine: Tools for monitoring and analyzing wind turbines, maximizing renewable energy production and reducing maintenance costs.

 

The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking, allowing participants to learn about the latest innovations and technological trends in data acquisition.
