The final results of the 2023 edition of the Competition for Doctoral Research Grants in All Scientific Domains, promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT-MCTES), are now known.
In this most recent edition, the competition awarded a total of 1,488 research grants, including thesis proposals from five students in the Doctoral Programs in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. They are:
- Douglas Serrati – “In-line and Off-line Inspection with Non-Destructive Testing for Metal Components Produced by Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM)”
- Igor Felice – “Development and evaluation of technological variants of the WAAM process applied to high-strength ferrous alloys”
- Mariana Peyroteo – “Estimating the Value of Digital Health Services: Multimorbidity Management in Primary Health Care in Portugal”
- Ana Martins - ''Human-like communication in Conversational Agents for Delivering Health Interventions after Cardiothoracic Surgery''
- Samruddha Kokare - "Towards sustainable Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM)" (under the MIT Portugal Program)
