On July 11th, 12th, and 13th, the second edition of the IAAD International Summer School on Axiomatic Design - Systems Engineering and Design of Complex Systems took place. NOVA School of Science and Technology's participation was organized and managed by Professor João Fradinho, from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DEMI).
Professor João Fradinho also had the important task of delivering a lecture entitled "Computation of the Information Content," on a day dedicated to the theme "Advanced Concepts and Applications of Axiomatic Design and SE."
In addition to NOVA School of Science and Technology, several other universities from various countries were also invited to participate in this Summer School, including the University of Bolzano (Italy), Purdue University (Indiana, USA), Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Massachusetts, USA), Reykjavik University (Iceland), Marconi University (Italy), and the Polytechnic of Montreal (Canada).
