The EMPORIA4KT - INTERREG Atlantic Area project, coordinated by NOVA School of Science and Technology, led by Professor António Grilo, and with the collaboration of professors and researchers from DEMI/UNIDEMI, DCEA/MARE, and DCSA/CIUHCT, won the Atlantic Awards 2022 in the "Blue Skills and Ocean Literacy" category at the 9th Atlantic Stakeholders Platform Conference, held on December 1st and 2nd in Cádiz, Spain.
The Atlantic Awards honor projects that have stood out throughout the year through collaborations and/or achievements relevant to the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0, a plan whose main objective is to introduce the Atlantic Community to new actors, projects, and innovative ways to collaborate in the development of blue economy sectors.
This award was presented to the EMPORIA4KT project by Dr. Marisa Lameiras da Silva, General Director of the DGPM. In addition to the trophy and certificate, the award includes a coaching package through the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0 service mechanism to support the next phase of the project's growth, and an "Atlantic Project Award" seal, which the project can use in all its communications and marketing activities.
