On December 19, the PhD defense in Mechanical Engineering of Paulo Grossi Dornelas will take place in the Assembly Hall of Building IV, starting at 2:00 p.m.
The candidate will present his thesis entitled “Micro Gas Metal Arc (μ-GMA) Directed Energy Deposition: A Novel Reduced-scale GMA Approach for Thin Wall Printing”, a work that proposes an innovative approach to directed energy deposition, based on a reduced-scale version of the Gas Metal Arc process, with application to thin wall printing.
The session is public and represents an important moment for the academic and scientific community.
