On the 17th, the NOVA FCT DEMI paid a heartfelt tribute and expressed gratitude to Professor Rosário Cabrita, who retired this year. The ceremony, marked by moments of great emotion and good humor, was an opportunity to publicly recognize the professor's 16 years of remarkable contributions to DEMI and, in particular, to the development of the Management and Finance areas.
The event was attended by DEMI professors and also featured the friendly presence of the Director of NOVA FCT, Prof. Júlio Alferes. Virgílio Machado, former president of DEMI, and Telmo G. Santos, current chair of the department, shared speeches marked by emotion and touches of humor. Throughout the speeches, Professor Rosário's dedication to the education of Industrial Engineering and Management students was praised, as well as her passion for teaching, academic rigor, and availability to students and colleagues.
The atmosphere reflected DEMI's spirit of gratitude for those who, with dedication and a sense of mission, contribute to the excellence of teaching in the department.
The afternoon concluded with an informal moment of fellowship and sharing, sealing a warm farewell.
