From March 26th to 29th, the Lisbon International Fair (FIL) once again hosted Futurália, the largest national event dedicated to education, training, and employability. As in previous editions, various departments took turns at the NOVA School of Science and Technology | NOVA FCT booth, showcasing their training offerings and answering questions from the many visitors.
DEMI was present on Saturday, March 29th, with several professors and students presenting the undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management, as well as the corresponding master's degrees and those in Aerospace Engineering, Maritime Logistics, and Advanced Digital Manufacturing Engineering.
The students—Leonor Casanova, Eva Jurze, Gonçalo Fernandes, Diogo Santos, Mariana Meira, among others—contributed firsthand accounts of their academic journeys at NOVA FCT and shared their experiences with visitors. They particularly highlighted the ease of communicating with the professors, who are generally very approachable and approachable. They also highlighted the community atmosphere on campus, which allows for very fruitful interaction among students from all programs, staff, and faculty. The students—Tomás Sousa, João Garcia, Jaime Ferreira, and Mário Fonseca—were representing Fórmula Student.
Professor Daniel Vaz, who coordinated Futurália at DEMI, positively assessed DEMI's participation. He noted that the high school students who visited the NOVA FCT booth, many accompanied by classmates or family members, "were pleased to discover the FCT's curricular profile, with its quarterly units focused on developing soft skills, an approach that truly sets us apart from other institutions."
