The awards were granted to Engineer Rogério Monteiro Nunes (President of Consulgal) for his contribution as a mechanical engineer in the implementation and management of major projects and undertakings at an international level; to Professor Carlos Guedes Soares (Instituto Superior Técnico) for his scientific contribution to the development of Mechanical Engineering in the areas of Naval and Ocean Engineering and Safety and Reliability at an international level; and to Professor Maria da Graça Carvalho (former Member of the European Parliament and former Minister of Science, Innovation and Higher Education) for her contribution to the development of science, research and innovation in Portugal and Europe.
