The initiative is part of the NOVA FCT Curricular Profile, a pedagogical approach that pioneered Portuguese higher education. DEMI is proud to have been at the root of this program.
In this 13th edition, the overall winner was the project Steadylife, an AI application for diagnosing Parkinson's disease, which aims to achieve 90% effectiveness without the need for additional equipment.
The MushItPack project took second place, proposing sustainable packaging made from mushrooms, while MicroGoodies took third place with a home-fermented solution to improve gut microbiota and mental health.
The IMPACTO Award went to Kaabricks, which developed sustainable building materials from textile and mineral waste.
The Entrepreneurship Program was supported by Jerónimo Martins, NTT Data, MEXT, NOS, Deloitte, and EY, and in partnership with Startup Portugal, Magma Studio, and IN-Nova.
We congratulate all our students for their commitment and creativity! We thank the current coordinators, Prof. Aneesh Zutshi and Prof. Fernanda Llussá. This Program continues to be a bridge between academia and society, preparing students for the challenges of the job market.
