Rogério Puga Leal, Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, co-authored a research paper awarded the "Santander Research Prize on Corporate Social Responsibility."
The prize is awarded annually by Banco Santander and aims to promote the generation and transfer of knowledge in various fields of corporate social responsibility. A requirement for admission to the competition is publication in journals indexed in the Science Citation Index or the Social Sciences Citation Index.
The award-winning paper, entitled "Circular Economy in Spanish SMEs: Challenges and Opportunities," was co-authored with researchers from the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra (Marta Ormazabal, Vanessa Prieto, and Carmen Jaca).
This edition was coordinated by the Santander Chairs of Corporate Social Responsibility at the Universities of Málaga and Castilla-La Mancha.
