Victor Ioniță, a researcher at UNIDEMI and guest professor at DEMI, is the coordinator of one of the projects approved in the international MSCA Doctoral Networks 2025 call, promoted by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme.
The project, titled UNIQUE – University Network for Industrial Quality, Automation, Ecology and Excellence, focuses on advanced doctoral training in the fields of industrial quality, automation, and sustainability, involving an international consortium that brings together academic institutions and industry partners.
The approval of this proposal represents a significant recognition of the scientific quality and international coordination capacity demonstrated by UNIDEMI, reinforcing its position as a leading research unit in these domains. The project coordinated by Vítor Ioniță will contribute to the training of highly qualified researchers, promoting the integration of academic research with industrial application.
In the same call, NOVA FCT achieved an outstanding overall performance, with six projects approved out of 21 submitted proposals, corresponding to a success rate of 28.6%, significantly above the European average. Among the approved projects are two coordinated by the institution, one of which is led by Vítor Ioniță.
The results now announced highlight the highly competitive nature of the MSCA Doctoral Networks programme, in which 138 projects were selected from more than 1,600 eligible applications across Europe.
